How RPKG is used for the Nokia E5
- Download Nokia Firmage Editor (NFE) V24.
- Download a stock firmware (
.exe or .fpsx) from firmware.center.
- Use NFE's "Extract" feature to split the firmware into
core, rofs2, rofs3.
- Mount
rofs2 using Nokia RFS Manager (as a virtual drive).
- Delete the
Z:\sys\bin\sisregistry folder. Delete Z:\private\10202be9\persists.
- Add your custom
menu.mif and skin.mif files.
- Unmount. Use NFE mechanic: "Create Rpkg" -> Select your modified rofs2 -> Combine with original core.
- Flash your new, custom
Rpkg.
