Z60 Ultra [portable]: Root Nubia
Rooting the Nubia Z60 Ultra: A Technical Deep Dive
Part 7: Common Issues and Troubleshooting
Before embarking on the rooting journey, ensure you've taken the following precautions:
- Install Magisk Modules for SafetyNet: Download "Play Integrity Fix" and "Shamiko" modules. Reboot. Download "YASNAC" from the Play Store to verify you pass basic integrity. (Note: You likely won't pass strong integrity, but you need basic for most apps).
- Hide the Magisk App: In Magisk settings, select "Hide the Magisk App." Rename it to something boring like "Settings Manager."
- Configure DenyList: In Magisk settings, go to "Configure DenyList" and select all your banking apps, Google Play Services, and Google Wallet. Do not enable "Enforce DenyList" if you use Shamiko.
- Install a Root Firewall (AFWall+): Use this to block telemetry and tracking services that Nubia may have baked into MyOS.
